Both projects center on the Indian River Lagoon and the choices Brevard residents make every day. Project: Save Our Lagoon focuses on classroom education and outreach. Project: BLACKOUT focuses on making the county fertilizer ordinance visible and easy to follow.
Student-led presentations, nitrogen tests, runoff demonstrations, posters, and online awareness for the Indian River Lagoon. The project won 3rd place at the Future Problem Solving International Conference in Community Problem Solving.
